A: The Residence Permit for Studies is mandatory for non-EU/EEA students who plan to study
in Finland for more than 90 days. It’s issued by the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) after
proof of university admission and sufficient funds. It also allows students to work part-time
during their studies.
